As the year-end, people make a list of new year`s resolutions. They want to take up this chance to take a fresh start. The New year is a new chapter of life and it presents 365 possibilities and opportunities to each of us. It’s a chapter that has 365 blank pages which we have to fill.
Realistically speaking, the new year is just a change in date and of course a year but if you consider it as a new beginning, you can do wonders. But how can you make the best out of it??? Below given are my few tips to make a new start on the new year;
1. Stop mourning for your last year`s mistake. Do take it as an experience/lesson to not repeat the same mistake again and improve yourself.

2. Make a list of short-term and long-term goals. but ensure to pen down the smart (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-base) goals.
3. Write down a not-to-do list as well for habits that you are trying to break down. It`s much easier to replace the bad habit with the good one.
4. Don`t overthink about the end result because it will make you double-minded and you will end up losing all your confidence. Overthinking is not good for your mental health.
5. Positive self-talk is important. If you have self-esteem and confidence issues this technique can make a huge impact. Make it your habit to daily do positive self-talk while standing in front of the mirror. Just keep that in mind, positive talk breeds positive responses and nurtures positive behavior.
6. Take care of your physical and mental wellness which you can do by exercising and limiting your use of mobile phones and technology. Don’t be a mobile worm, it’s better to be a book worm.
7. Don`t forget to read good books/novels. READ BOOKS, NOT “E-BOOKs”. Books are the oceans of knowledge and they have the power to transform lives.
8. If you don`t like reading books, then roam around the world, visit new places, meet new people that’s how you can get exposure and expand your perspective of looking at life.
It is not denied that the world is rapidly changing and there is a lot of stress out there due to pandemic and many other factors but we can`t forget to live. We have been given this life once.
Improve yourself but never forget to live. Stay happy, eat healthily and smile.
